The Navy Exchange Service Command’s (NEXCOM) Hospitality Group opened its new 125-room Navy Inn at Naval Support Facility Dahlgren, Virginia, on Oct. 29, 2026. This new facility will support active duty military, retirees and Department of War civilians on temporary duty travel.

Each guestroom at the Navy Inn Dahlgren includes a signature Harbor Home® pillow-top mattress, 50-inch television, complimentary premium high-speed Wi-Fi, comfortable lounge seating, designated workspace and an in-room safe. Guests will also find premium, eco-friendly bath amenities and plush Harbor Home towels.

In addition, the Navy Inn has a 24-hour NEX Micro Market with a premium coffee bar, snacks, beverages, toiletries and travel essentials. The hotel also includes a business center, complimentary guest laundry and a conference room, which can accommodate up to 14 attendees, with a 50-inch display for presentations and audiovisual needs.

“These improvements reflect our commitment to providing military personnel and authorized travelers with exceptional value, convenience and accommodations designed for the realities of military travel,” said Ron Loman, Senior Vice President, NEXCOM Hospitality Group. “A reliable room, high-speed connectivity, workspace and convenient services matter. We are proud that our Navy hotels are the preferred lodging choice for our guests.”

The new hotel was financed entirely with revenue generated by Navy lodging, meaning no appropriated funding was used for the building itself. That revenue supports not only day-to-day operations but also the maintenance, modernization and construction of new facilities across the NEXCOM Hospitality Group’s worldwide lodging portfolio. For NEXCOM, this approach directly connects business performance to long-term investment while preserving value for travelers, generating savings for the Navy and supporting mission readiness.

A Sustainable Model Supporting Future Navy Lodging Investment

While NEXCOM Hospitality Group operates nearly 100 Navy hotels worldwide, the new Navy Inn is part of a broader investment strategy. Currently, several other construction projects are underway or nearing completion.

At Naval Station Mayport, Florida, the same funding model supported the construction of a new 126-room Navy Inn, which will officially open in December 2026.

At Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California, a mixed-use facility is currently under construction. The 200-room Navy Inn will be co-located with a 15,800 sq. ft. Navy Exchange.

In Okinawa, Japan, construction is underway on a new Navy Inn Crew Stay at Kadena Air Base. The lodging facility will feature 200 rooms and 390 beds, providing purpose-built accommodations for Sailors on extended mission assignments and command group visits.

“Together, these projects demonstrate what disciplined reinvestment can accomplish,” said Loman. “The opening of the Navy Inn Dahlgren is a tangible example of how NEXCOM Hospitality Group translates strong operational performance into long-term infrastructure investment, delivering lasting financial value to the Fleet while providing purpose-built, modern accommodations to our military.”
